Book Review

Finding Home

Review By:Hendrik van den Bergh

The story captured my attention from the first chapter and from there I was hooked.

Trent was in prison for 5 years and, when it was time to leave, he didn’t have anywhere to go. Dustin, his cellmate, organized a place for him to stay. Trent made Dustin a promise. Trent did not know that the place he was going to stay would change his whole life and his outlook on life.

The moment he sets his eyes on Michelle, he knew that he want to protect her and make her happy.

Both, Michelle and Trent, have a past they want to leave behind, but the past always have a way to appear in the present. They get to know each other, as the story progresses, with the things that happened in their past.

I loved the way K.L Humphreys divided the chapters into the point of view for both Michelle and Trent.

The ending had me emotional and it is a MUST READ. Your past doesn’t determine your future and anything can happen.

The title of the book says it all… Home is the place where you can be yourself without judgement.
